Job description

The Installation Team Lead at Alfred Williams & Company is responsible for leading all Subcontractor installation operations, ensuring the successful delivery and installation on client worksites. This role oversees Subcontractor installers, service technicians, field supervisors, driving performance, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Subcontractor Management
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Subcontractors installers, service technicians, and field supervisors.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and support development.
  • Build, maintain, and evaluate relationships with subcontracted installation partners.
  • Ensure subcontractors meet Alfred Williams & Company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.

Project & Field Operations Oversight
  • Oversee all on-site Subcontractor installation activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to client specifications.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (project management, sales, operations) to ensure seamless execution.
  • Proactively resolve field issues to minimize disruptions and maintain project timelines.

Customer Experience
  • Serve as a key point of contact at client worksites, ensuring professional and positive customer experience.
  • Ensure all work meets or exceeds customer expectations and contractual requirements.

Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a culture of safety across all field operations.
  • Enforce company safety policies and industry regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits

Training & Development
  • Develop and maintain training programs for Subcontractors, including installation best practices, safety standards, and product knowledge including MillerKnoll Performance System (MKPS).
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained and certified as required.

  • Proven experience managing installation teams, field operations, or similar service-based roles.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in commercial furniture installation or related industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and field service best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
