CLASS B CDL DRIVER
1st Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm)

Job Summary
Yarde Metals is looking for a Class B Driver to join our Fleet amp; Operations Team. A Class B Truck Driver safely operates a commercial truck to transport and deliver material to customers. This driver will average 6-7 stops per day in the Maryland and Northern Virginia areas.
Responsibilities
  • SAFETY FIRST!
  • Safely operate a commercial vehicle.
  • Load and unload material.
  • Secure loads and assure they are within weight limits.
  • Verify material condition and quantities during the loading/unloading process.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Report overages, shortages, and damaged material.
  • Assist with loading and unloading material at points of delivery and pickup
  • Comply with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor or group leader.
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements amp; Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid, current Class B driver's license and medical card.
  • Clean MVR.
  • Must be able to operate an automatic transmission.
  • Six months minimum experience strongly preferred.
  • Capable of meeting lifting and physical requirements of position.
  • Willingness to work required overtime.
