Job description

Gratitude, Connection, and Balance. Our culture is centered around these 3 points - we want you to be happy to come to work each day to do something that you absolutely love and service wonderful guests of our Aveda lifestyle salon & spa. Are you positive, passionate, and enthusiastic? In love with your craft? A team-player? If you are looking for a professional, career focused salon culture that prioritizes education, excellence and work-life balance – then we are looking for YOU!

Education is central to our culture at Legato. We will coach you in the skills you need to be successful - to grow faster, better and stronger behind the chair. We are committed to the personal and professional growth of each and every team member because we know your success is our success!

Our two salon & spa locations service a combined 1,400 guests each month & our stylists are over 70% booked and busy. Your guests are waiting for you! We have strong business building systems along with master stylists that have been with us over 15 years as mentors to inspire you with a clear career path to earn, learn, and live a better life! Part of our team's success comes from a well-balanced and flexible work schedule. We have part and full-time positions available so we can work together to create a custom schedule to optimize your personal and professional life.

Training is provided to ensure you’re ready for any guest or service that may sit in your chair. We also provide education on social media marketing, effective service consultations, and dialogue for educating your guests on proper home care & products. We want you to be 100% confident in the services you’re providing...we set the roadmap and you set the pace. We contribute a yearly $500 maximum towards education dollars for each service provider, in addition to bringing in advanced educators for in-salon classes. To advance in your career at Legato, you'll be expected to maintain set productivity levels, guest retention levels, guest purchases, and invest time in furthering your artistry and skills through classes.

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision. Life & Long-Term Disability Benefits, Paid continued Education, Retail Bonus commission, Receive your Tips Daily, Personal coaching & career development, Product & Service discounts, Marketing Tools, Direct Deposit, Online Booking, Phorest booking app for mobile access, Dedicated Front Desk staff committed to keeping your appointment book filled with guests & offering upgrades at booking.

Training / Assisting Required: These days will consist of supporting the stylists schedules - you’re accepting the role of housekeeper and day maker with the salon, stylists, and guests. A typical assisting day is fast paced with minimal downtime. You will have a great opportunity to be mentored by co-workers, connect with guests, and learn to multitask at a high level. This is like an "internship" prior to earning a chair on the salon floor that will include one-on-one coaching time each week.

Training Length: Our training program is self-paced and fully determined by your level of desire and motivation to advance. The minimum length of time is 3-6 months. You will be evaluated weekly on your growth and skill in all services. All Legato stylists participate in about 5 core classes yearly, about every 8 weeks, that serve as an excellent source of education - we know that learning never ends.

Visit our website at salonlegato.com/careers to learn more about us & join one of our virtual "meet & greets", in addition to submitting your resume here. We welcome you to visit us for a salon tour, or stay and shadow our stylist team for a few hours and get answers to your questions from other stylists or meet directly with management!
