Job description

Job Role: Architectural Project Manager

Work Location: Phoenix, AZ 85008 (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Hire Type: Fulltime Permanent with end client

Position Overview

Project Manager works under the direction of the Studio Director and coordinates all aspects of assigned projects both administrative and technical from the entitlement phase through construction administration. You are introduced as the primary client liaison as appropriate during the ***ย process of delivery with an emphasis on bringing the project to completion on schedule with maximum client satisfaction.

Functions of Position

As a Project Manager your role will include:

โ€ข Manage projects during the entitlement phase, contract document phase, and construction phase.

โ€ข Develop and manage workplans for each project and directly coordinate staffing needs with the Studio Director.

โ€ข Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate tasks with project team.

โ€ข Coordinate appropriate and anticipated schedules for upcoming projects with the Studio Director.

โ€ข Consistently perform drawing reviews for conformance with all codes and constructability standards.

โ€ข Primary contact of the project team as it relates to communication with various AHJโ€™s, consultants, the client and ***ย Design Build.

โ€ข Encourage project team collaboration between Architectural Division and Design Build.

โ€ข Mentor and train staff with less experience.

โ€ข Develop positive relationship with internal and external clients.

โ€ข Prepare and coordinate additional service requests.

โ€ข Follow and enforce quality control procedures.

โ€ข Encourage and promote ***ย core values of communication, collaboration, proactive, and quality.

Desired Attributes

โ€ข 10+ years of experience; or equivalent knowledge and skills.

โ€ข Professional registration

โ€ข Proficient knowledge of a variety of architectural systems/construction methods; and the ability to appropriately detail these systems.

โ€ข Proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local Life Safety and Energy codes relating to various projects.

โ€ข Ability to solve constructability or code related issues.

โ€ข Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

โ€ข Possess interpersonal skills among the project team, consultants, and clients.

โ€ข Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages of development.

โ€ข High-level of knowledge of to include, but not limited to:

o Revit

o Microsoft Office

o Microsoft Project

o Bluebeam

What we are looking for

A responsible and organized Project Manager that possesses the experience and ability to contribute to ***ย Design Buildโ€™s continuous growth. This includes the ability to foster positive relationships within our organization along with our clients. They will have the skill set to mentor and grow the next generation of architects. You also exhibit and encourage the ongoing and collaborative relationship with ***ย Design Build.

Reporting. Project Manager will report to the Studio Director as needed for the project. Weekly team meetings as well as weekly updates on project status are required.

Evaluation. An annual review by the Studio Director, peers, and related company staff will be used as part of the evaluation. The above functions of the position will be used as a basis of the evaluation, delivery of projects on time, issues with plans, and the interaction of the individual with the TEAM and company as a whole. Evidence of how you demonstrate company values. Lastly, each personโ€™s individual goals will be discussed and how the firm and the job tasks throughout the year can assist in those goals.
