Job Description

NBCUniversal's Operations & Technology (O&T) group is the shared services organization that provides the company with a broad portfolio of services and capabilities including media and studio operations, international operations, real estate, infrastructure, security and technology. The O&T group provides global support to NBCUniversal with a 2000+ strong workforce and is a critical to the growth and success of the company.

NBCUniversal's Data & Legal Solutions team operates as a central program operations group embedded across Ad Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Research, Technology, Legal, and HR as trusted partners working together to implement strategic programs throughout the enterprise in order to effectively close gaps between central business and technology groups across a variety of projects.  We work to provide relevant insights & structure across our diverse portfolio to power intelligent business decisions required in order to compete within today's highly complex multi-platform & fragmented media landscape.

The Compliance Operations Manager is a full-time position in NBCUniversal's Compliance Operations team and will provide support to the broader team within Data & Legal Solutions with a focus on data compliance & governance. This role will be responsible helping to develop strategy and operationalize compliance requirements against requirements & controls. This role is highly collaborative, working across business and technology teams to establish a target vision aligned with business, legal, and IT needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of key enterprise compliance initiatives, including regulatory change management, control implementation, policy adherence, and governance programs
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Product, Technology, and business teams to operationalize regulatory requirements and business obligations into scalable processes and controls
  • Make recommendations to business process changes based on experience, analysis, and best practices
  • Document project risks and issues; providing solutions where applicable
  • Develop and maintain compliance operating procedures, governance frameworks, process documentation, and control inventories
  • Facilitate cross-functional working sessions, gather requirements, document decisions, and track actions to completion
  • Establish and manage program metrics, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executive reporting
  • Support compliance assessments, audits, attestations, and evidence collection activities across business and technology environments
  • Take ownership in facilitating and documenting collaborative working sessions with business and technical stakeholder and conducting following ups, as needed
  • Research emerging regulatory requirements, industry trends, and compliance best practices to drive continuous program improvement
  • Assist with strategic projects, including developing compelling business cases, identifying future processes, creating user stories, and developing frameworks to calculate value
  • Evaluate enhancement requests, operational needs, and technology solutions with consideration for risk reduction, business value, and return on investment
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, consultants, and technology partners in support of compliance-related initiatives
  • Support training, awareness, and change management activities to drive adoption of compliance processes and controls
  • Perform additional strategic and operational assignments as needed
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, risk management, technology, law or related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance operations, risk management, governance, regulatory compliance, program management, or a related discipline
  • Experience translating regulatory or policy requirements into operational processes, controls, and business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives involving business, legal, compliance, and technology stakeholders
  • Goal-oriented, being able to conceptualize a project from start to finish; while managing short term milestones
  • Experience writing business and functional requirements with specifications, including strong documentation skills
  • Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills
  • Ability to identify opportunities to solve business problems
  • Experience developing reporting, dashboards, metrics, and executive-level communications
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Curious, proactive, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and challenge the status quo

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
