The Director of Executive Production & Studio Operations is the senior production and operations leader for Torrid's in-house Fashion Studio. Reporting to the VP, Creative Director, this role oversees studio operations, production strategy, financial management, and operational scalability across all creative content channels, including campaigns, editorial, e-commerce, and video production.
This leader will partner closely with Creative leadership to build and evolve a best-in-class internal production function, driving operational excellence while supporting the brand's creative vision and business priorities. The role provides strategic oversight of studio infrastructure, production workflows, budgeting, vendor and talent partnerships, and organizational development, while empowering the production management team to lead day-to-day execution.
What You'll Do:
Strategic Studio Leadership
  • Lead long-term studio operations and production strategy, including workflow optimization, resource planning, organizational design, and production scalability
  • Partner with Creative leadership to align production capabilities with brand vision, seasonal priorities, and business objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement across studio infrastructure, systems, workflows, and operational processes

Executive Production Leadership
  • Serve as executive production lead for major brand campaigns and high-visibility productions
  • Oversee external production vendors, freelance talent, agencies, and production partners
  • Establish operational standards and scalable production frameworks across all content channels

Studio Operations & Production Infrastructure
  • Oversee studio workflows, scheduling, resource allocation, and asset delivery processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, Merchandising, and E-Commerce teams to support business priorities and content calendars
  • Ensure operational efficiency across studio systems, production timelines, and asset management practices

Financial Leadership & Budget Management
  • Oversee production budgets, forecasting, vendor negotiations, and financial planning
  • Manage production spend while identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and scalability
  • Support long-range planning and investment recommendations for studio growth and production capabilities

People Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop production and studio operations teams
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing studio culture
  • Support organizational growth, team development, and evolving business needs

Quality, Delivery & Creative Operations
  • Establish quality standards and operational checkpoints across all studio output
  • Monitor production timelines, delivery expectations, and operational performance metrics
  • Proactively identify production risks and operational challenges while driving solutions

What You'll Need:
  • 10+ years of experience in creative production, studio operations, or executive production within fashion, retail, e-commerce, or brand content environments
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience managing creative production teams
  • Proven experience leading large-scale brand campaign productions and managing complex, multi-channel content operations
  • Strong background in budget management, vendor negotiations, and production planning
  • Experience building scalable production workflows and managing external production partners, freelancers, and talent

Nice to have:
  • Experience within fashion, retail, or direct-to-consumer brands
  • Background supporting both high-volume e-commerce content and large-scale campaign/editorial productions
  • Familiarity with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms and studio operations infrastructure
  • Experience presenting operational strategy and investment recommendations to senior leadership

Salary range: $166,000-200,000
