Job description

Position Summary

The Lead-Studio is responsible for providing mentoring and leadership to the Studio Fitness team of performers within a Life Time location (Studio, Cycle, Yoga and/or Signature Small Group Training) as they deliver world class classes to members to help them achieve their goals. The Lead-Studio will serve as a role-model for the team of performers and coaches, managing department goals and budgets, delivering best "branded" programs, driving and contributing to overall club performance, and building communities

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Leads and mentors fitness performers, providing daily supervision, monitoring class performance, providing performance feedback, and ensuring the team is aware of company policies, protocols, and expectations.

  • Optimizes and manages the working schedules of direct reports, and the class schedules of club Studio, Cycle, Yoga, and/or Signature Group Training offerings

  • Teaches 7-10 classes/week in order to assess and modify Life Time's class offerings and schedules as needed.

  • Works with the General Manager to scout and interview new team members, managing the onboarding process for new performers.

  • Assists the General manager in managing the studio budget, and delivers on company and club-specific business goals, including those related to target participation expectations, schedule optimization, and performance goals

  • Ensures members experience an artistry level member experience

Position Requirements

  • Teaches both Small Group Training and Large Group Training classes

  • National Group Fitness and/or Yoga Certification

  • Fitness and Nutrition Certification

  • 2 or more years of leadership or managerial work

  • Proven successful collaboration with team members

  • Proven background in building high performing teams, with the ability to mentor and cultivate the career path of team members

  • Familiar with managing a budget and staff and offering schedules

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $28.50 and pays up to $38.25, based on experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for incentive pay based on business performance.Benefits
