Job Description:
Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing automated control systems used in manufacturing and industrial processes. Ensure process control systems function efficiently and effectively to maximize production quality, safety, and efficiency. Monitor and troubleshoot process control systems, including PLCs, HMl's, SCADA, and instrumentation. Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and maintenance of control system components. Assist in the programming, configuration, and optimization of control systems to improve production processes. Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to identify and resolve control system issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies regarding control system operations. Maintain accurate records of control system changes, repairs, and maintenance activities. Provide technical support and training to production staff on process control systems. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and reliability.
Credentials Needed:
Requires an Associate's degree in Industrial Automation Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology and 2 years of experience. Must have experience in each of the following skills: PLC programming: Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Studio 5000; HMI development and FactoryTalk View; SCADA systems design and programming; Troubleshooting skills with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems and components; Diagnostic equipment, process calibrators, meters, and meggers; Process instrumentation, such as flow, level, temperature transmitters, controllers and final control elements; Industrial networks and communication protocols: Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus; Ethernet switch configuration and maintenance; Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals; Variable frequency drive programming and configuration; Industrial 480VAC motor starters and controls, configuration and programming of motor relays; 24VDC control circuitry design and maintenance.
