Job Summary
The Work Study Student will support the EMSS Liberty Campus as an Office Assistant on the Hinesville Campus beginning Fall 2026.
Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
Employment is contingent upon funding.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Answer, screen, and transfer incoming calls using a multi-line telephone system
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including copying, scanning, printing, filing, and maintaining office records
• Create and distribute flyers, internal campus newsletters, and other internal communications
• Assist with Enrollment Services functions and provide support for student-facing services
• Conduct campus tours for prospective students and visitors
• Monitor assigned campus facilities and report any concerns as appropriate
• Assist staff with special projects and other departmental tasks as assigned
• Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions and maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other software applications required to perform assigned job functions
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold academic integrity
• Adhere to Georgia Southern University policies, procedures, and standards while supporting the University's mission and commitment to student success

Shift Specifics

• Up to 20 hours per week
• Flexible with schedule of availability
• Shifts available
  • Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

• Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Other Required Qualifications

• Must be Federal Work eligible.

• Prior front desk experience

Proposed Salary
$12.00 per hour
This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
