a well-established dental practice that values cohesiveness and compassion, fit your current needs? Our office in Hillsboro has an opening for a full-time (34-36 hours per week) experienced and Highly Motivated Dental Assistant.

Practice Details: WE are a well-established practice with an amazing team and we provide the very best dental care.

Our practice has a calm energy and caring patients who enjoy coming to our practice. We are open Monday through Thursday and two fridays a month

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist dentist chair-side.

Job Summary

  • Assists the Dentist, sets up equipment, prepares patients for treatment, and keeps records.

General Accountabilities

  • Prepares patient, sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, prepares materials, and assists dentist during dental procedures.

  • Performs weekly spore tests and records them accurately and in timely manner(same day ).

  • Records treatment information in patient records efficiently and systematically .

  • Exposes and documents dental diagnostic x-rays.

  • Takes and records patients medical and dental histories and vital signs.

  • Fabricates temporary restorations or custom trays from preliminary impressions

  • Makes accurate preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts.

  • knowledge of surgical procedure assistance is a big plus along with IV sedation procedure experiance in assistance
