Job Description Summary
Students in this role will focus on promoting student well-being both inside and outside of the classroom. This SOS team of work study students will present SOS services in the classroom, at campus fairs and events and on social media. This team will also develop social media content and digital wellness material, be the voice of the student body regarding relevant workshop content, and support the delivery of workshops on campus.
Specific Duties
  • With the guidance of the SOS fellow, this team will research the wellness needs of the student body, determine the most effective methods for meeting those needs, and advise the SOS manager regarding future programming efforts.
  • Under the direction of the social media manager, team members will plan, create, and post SOS related social media content to the @ulvcares social media account.
  • This team will plan, coordinate, staff and assess all SOS tabling and event participation, including Wellness Wednesdays, club fairs, and Spotlight weekend.
  • Team members will meet weekly to discuss progress, provide support and celebrate impact made on campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
