Navitas is seeking to employ an International Student Recruitment Managerto join our North American team inLondon, Ontario, at Western International College (WesternIC).

The International Student Recruitment Manager (known internally as Marketing Manager) supports student recruitment growth in achieving recruitment targets for their regions in coordination with the divisional in-college teams and Student Recruitment Managers offshore.They support a broad range of internal and external stakeholders across the division to drive long-term growth for a specific product(s) in the market.


Key Responsibilities

    Marketing and Conversion Support

    • Develop a thorough marketing and communication plan and strategy for the regions they are responsible for, considering the student recruitment cycles of the market (exam dates, special holidays, visa timelines, etc.) to aid in the development of marketing campaigns and recruitment activities.
    • Work closely with the Directors of Marketing and Recruitment to create and localize the value proposition of each college in specific markets.
      • Support offshore recruiters in activities with the objective of increasing conversion across the entire student journey. These activities are, but not limited to:
        • Product training with internal and external stakeholders (agents)
        • Masterclasses with academic staff
        • Virtual campus tours
        • Live Q&A sessions with students in their native language when necessary
        • Direct students follow up
        • Follow up with students either by using WhatsApp/ WeChat and phone calls when it's necessary, or emails
      • Provides information to potential students and parents through digital channels (phone, email, webinars, information sessions, etc.)
      • Support development of copy for email and digital campaign for specific markets.
      • Proofread all translated marketing collaterals.
      • Develop content for social media channels to promote a college/product in a specific region.
      • Support the development of student testimonials and other marketing collateral specific to the region they oversee.
      • Evaluate the academic background and English level of student applicants to ensure they fit the Navitas student profile.
      • May require international travel to participate in marketing/recruitment events as required.

      Support Internal Stakeholders

      • Support the completion of projects that promote the brand of a college/product in the markets.
      • Support drafting and localizing communications coming from the colleges to the markets.
      • Support the Arrival team in the following activities:
        • Students follow up (for visa, accommodation, and flights)
        • Conducting pre-departure sessions
        • Developing region-specific arrival guides
        • Maintaining communication channels with new students
      • Attend all periodic meetings with the divisional teams offshore and college teams.

      Pipeline Management

      • Support offshore recruitment teams in routing students to other colleges in cases where the Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) allocation if a college is depleted.
      • Provide regular pipeline updates.

      Troubleshooting

      • Support the offshore recruitment teams in resolving important student cases related to application assessments, admissions and payments.
      • Work jointly with the Directors of Marketing and Recruitment on special cases to provide timely solutions or feedback to offshore recruitment teams and agents.

      Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

        • Bachelor's degree (marketing preferred)
        • Experience in marketingand student recruitment
        • Full proficiency in a second language (preferred)
        • Proven track record of strong sales performance
        • High-level numeric literacy and critical thinking
        • High level interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills required in Business level English both written and speaking
        • Proven ability as a team player
        • Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking
        • Ability to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes
        • Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings
        • Holds a valid passport and is able and willing to travel internationally as required
        • Legal right to work in Canada

        Desirable Skills

        • Experience recruiting for graduate programs
        • Experience the Higher Education sector
        • Proven ability to monitor and evaluate the success of activities and report appropriately
        • Proven ability to work successfully with education agents
        • Experience of working effectively within a matrix structure to ensure competing demands are met
        • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
