  • Location: Vancouver, WA
  • Start: 7/13-8/6 with high possibility of extension for upcoming school year
  • Pay: 52  / HR
  • Hours: M-TH 8:30-11:30


1:1 RN ESY for female student

7/13-8/6  

Monday - Thursday  

8:30 -11:30  

The student is a high school student. 

-Requires total assistance for all ADLs, transfers, feedings, etc.

-Intermittent straight catheterizations (11am scheduled, and as needed for urinary retention)

-Impaired communication, episodes of anger/combativeness are normal for her

-Wheelchair/hoyer lift, frequent repositioning, 

-Incontinence of stool, uses briefs

-Is able to tolerate some PO intake, but requires assistance with feeding and pureed/blended diet

-Quetiapine and Baclofen by g-tube daily for anxiety and muscle rigidity

-Oral/nasal suctioning as needed

The new nurse would need to meet with the family and the student before they start coming to school to establish a school routine and get trained on the student's care.

The student has an additional para to support them with their educational needs.

This role ensures that all services are provided in alignment with physician orders and in accordance with the standards, policies, and philosophy of both the School District and Amergis Healthcare.  

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing  
  • One year of school nursing experience, preferred  
  • Pediatric experience, preferred  
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice  
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)  
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
