Job description

Summary/Objective
The primary function of the Success Coach is to engage students in the virtual learning program at Landmark Academy. The Success Coach must provide individualized academic and behavior support to students across all content areas. The Success Coach must develop meaningful relationships with the students and their families and motivate all students to be successful in their coursework.
Essential Functions
  • Provide individualized academic and behavioral support to students in the virtual learning program
  • Provide Tutoring support across all content areas
  • Monitor student progress and develop success plans
  • Develops individualized student success plans that emphasize goal setting, targeted interventions, and the nurturing of both academic and social-emotional growth
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to address student needs Support attendance, engagement, and goal-setting initiatives
  • Serve as a liaison between students, families, and school staff
  • Support disenfranchised students to remove barriers and provide pathways for success
  • Create a welcoming and supportive school environment
  • Support the enrollment processes by leading information and enrollment sessions
  • Support new student orientation sessions
  • Coordinate and assist with state testing
  • Recognize and celebrate staff, student, and program successes
  • Strong ability to foster meaningful relationships with students
  • Perform other duties and tasks as directed by School Administration

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not involve direct supervision of staff.
Competencies
  • Must be proficient in Google applications and tools.
  • Experience working with students in academic or behavioral support roles
  • Strong mentoring, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies and student success planning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
  • Instrumental team player, excellent collaboration skills

Required Education and Experience
Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience working in a virtual learning school and/or program strongly preferred
Work Environment
The work environment for this position is a school setting and the use of standard office equipment.
Physical Demands
This position involves walking, sitting, standing, bending and at times lifting up to 30 pounds.
