Salary Range:

The Student Success Facilitator provides support and services to students and programs as directed by the principal or designee to assist in achieving site and Network goals for student behavior and achievement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Minimum 2 years of experience working on a school campus, preferred

• Experience working with student behavior concerns and/or conflict or related experience.

• Spanish bilingual, preferred but not required.

• Active AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides supervision and support to students and programs to improve student behavior and achievement; such as monitoring In-School Community Breaks, Study Halls, and or after-school detention programs.

• Maintains accurate records related to campus programs to improve student behavior and achievement.

• Maintains accurate attendance records of students assigned to In-School Community Breaks, Study Halls, and/or after-school detention programs.

• Collaborates with classroom teachers to gather student assignments to support learning while serving community breaks.

• Leads Re-Entry meetings for students and families returning from Community Break in collaboration with campus administration and SEL team.

• Collaborates with Administration and SEL team on leading campus restorative practices.

• Provides general clerical support, such as typing, copying, and collating, related to campus programs to improve student behavior and achievement.

• Communicates with students and parents via phone or email concerning student performance and attendance as appropriate.

• Provides push-in behavior support for classroom students as needed.

• Collaborates with the Administration and SEL team to implement campus-wide behavior intervention and support programs.

• Supports the relationship between ASU Preparatory and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with student parents, visitors, and school staff.

• Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of the Downtown Phoenix Community as relevant to the students, families, and staff the site serves.

• Knowledge of best of practices in restorative behavior programs.

• Skill in understanding, explaining, and applying relevant rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Ability to articulate, represent professional demeanor, and ability to take initiative

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Ability to use initiative within organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

• Commitment to create and sustain a thriving learning and working environment for students and staff.

• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with a wide range of people including teachers, support staff, and students.

• Proficiency with technology, computers, and Microsoft Office Suite.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 30 lbs. such as boxes, supplies, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, and the ability to adjust focus, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

TRAVEL:
Occasional travel may be required for site visits, meetings, trainings and/or conferences. Locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
