QUALIFICATIONS:
1. License N/A
2. Education:
A. Required - Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
B. Preferred - Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics or related field. Relevant certifications in data, technology support, or IT management is preferred (e.g., CompTIA Data+, CompTIA A+).
3. Experience:
A. Required - Proven experience in data analysis, dashboard development, reporting, and visualization in a PreK-9 educational setting.
B. Preferred - Extensive experience in data analysis, dashboard development, reporting, and visualization in a PreK-12 public-school educational setting with evidence of impact on district metrics.
ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis and Visualization
  1. Designs, develops, and maintains interactive data dashboards using district-approved platforms such as Educlimber, Google Data Studio, Skyward, or similar platforms to support district and school-level decision-making.
  2. Aggregates and analyzes data from multiple sources, including student information systems, assessments, attendance, cost effectiveness, and compliance data.
  3. Collaborates closely with district executive leaders and other administrators to identify key data needs, establish reporting cycles, and creates tools that support planning, monitoring, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  4. Interprets and reviews assessment data (local, state, and national) with administrators and School Improvement Teams to support planning and progress monitoring.
  5. Assists with developing and implementing protocols to ensure data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and consistency across all reporting systems.
  6. Maintains district data systems, dashboard customization in student information systems, programming, and data clean-up processes, including those supporting intervention, program monitoring, and special education services.
  7. Supports major data migration efforts, including massive data loads and cleanup.
  8. Assists with specific Skyward-related tasks as needed.
  9. As needed, works with the Communications Manager to ensure district data is reported accurately to stakeholders.
Project Coordination and Training
  1. Collects and analyzes project-related data to assess impact and improve organizational efficiency.
  2. Supports cross-departmental projects by monitoring timelines, facilitating data collection, ensuring successful project completion and evaluation.
  3. Facilitates training and provides ongoing professional development sessions on data use, digital resources, and project systems, and provides support on interpreting and using dashboards to staff.
  4. Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments to foster a culture of data literacy and evidence-based practice in alignment with district priorities.
OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Provides service and assistance to all District schools and departments as needed.
  2. Assists in other areas as needed.
  3. Completes other duties as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  1. Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Educlimber, Skyward, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar.
  2. Strong understanding of educational data systems, student performance metrics, and school district operations, including Student Information Systems and student assessment data.
  3. Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate trends in academic, behavioral, and operational data.
  4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  6. Familiarity with data privacy laws (e.g., FERPA) and regulations related to student information.
  7. Comfort with troubleshooting digital tools and supporting users across varying skill levels.
Technical: Must be able to use the district email system, Google platforms, Microsoft Office, and other district systems aligned with job responsibilities. Proficient in using IWAS and other state reporting systems.
Interpersonal: Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, students, businesses and community. Must have strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills; and a strong sense of teamwork. Must be able to cope with deadline pressures; make difficult decisions that impact the organization in a positive sense; work harmoniously with the community, students, parents, staff, and administration, etc.; communicate effectively with students, parents and staff; exhibit sound judgment in dealing with people; and follow directives given by Administration. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Manual Dexterity: Work requires definite skilled and accurate physical operations requiring some close coordination performance.
Physical Effort: Work requires handling average-weight materials or equipment, but not for sustained periods.
Working Conditions: Some exposure to definitely disagreeable elements may exist, i.e., temperature changes, use of steps/stairs, walking long distances throughout the building, etc. Must be available for to work nights and weekends, as needed, especially for an emergency. Must also be able to attend events outside of the District as needed. Must be able to travel to schools, meetings, and conferences as needed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 260-Day, Exempt, non-union position.
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $90,000. Salary and benefits established by the Board of Education
