Job Summary:
The Student Success facilitator serves as a critical member of the school leadership team, supporting the academic and behavioral success of all students within a K-8 setting. This position is designed to support a diverse student population with significant academic needs by implementing comprehensive, data-driven systems of support. A key component of this role is maintaining a strong academic focus on the school's lowest-performing students by identifying attendance, behavior, and learning gaps, coordinating targeted interventions, and collaborating with teachers to ensure rigorous, scaffolded instruction that accelerates student growth and achievement.
The Facilitator supports school-wide implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including ISD's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. The role includes coaching teachers, supporting student behavior interventions, engaging families, and collaborating with staff to create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support school-wide PBIS (Tiers I-III), including student recognition, incentive systems, and behavior assemblies.
  • Collaborate with the School Improvement Team (SIT) to monitor and refine behavior systems.
  • Collaborate with the site leadership team to analyze data: discipline, attendance, and academic to identify trends and inform school-wide interventions.
  • Facilitate and support individual and small-group interventions (CICO, self-regulation, conflict resolution).
  • Assist in conducting, writing, and monitoring FBAs and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Manage student behavior contracts and attendance improvement plans in partnership with families, and review progress towards goals.
  • Check in with Tier II and III students on their academic goals and progress, and intervene and advocate as needed.
  • Provide de-escalation support and crisis intervention using restorative practices.
  • Provide job-embedded coaching on classroom management, restorative justice, and character education.
  • Conduct classroom "push-ins" to model best practices and provide actionable feedback.
  • Design and deliver professional development on culturally responsive instruction.
  • Act as a bridge between the school families to build trust.
  • Empower parents with home-based strategies for behavioral and academic success.
  • Facilitate parent-teacher conferences and multidisciplinary intervention meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Valid Teaching Certificate (Arizona or equivalent) and IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • 3+ years of successful classroom teaching experience.
  • Proven experience implementing PBIS, Character Instruction, or other MTSS/MTBS frameworks.
  • Experience in instructional coaching, trauma-informed practices, or restorative justice, preferred
  • Proficiency in data analysis to drive student interventions, preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
