Job description

Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. At Charter One we pride ourselves on our thorough knowledge of charter school operations, academics, finance, human resources, information technology, marketing, and more. We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.


American Leadership Academy - Spanish Fork is accepting applications for Food Service Assistants for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Welcome students into the cafeteria and assist them during meal service.
  • Help younger students open food packages, milk cartons, condiment packets, and utensils as needed.
  • Monitor students during lunch to encourage appropriate behavior and a positive dining environment.
  • Encourage students to eat nutritious foods and make healthy choices.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of tables, chairs, serving areas, and condiment stations throughout meal periods.
  • Restock napkins, straws, utensils, condiments, and other cafeteria supplies.
  • Assist with trash collection, recycling, and composting procedures as applicable.
  • Monitor the cafeteria for safety hazards and report concerns to the Kitchen Manager or school administration.
  • Communicate respectfully with students, teachers, administrators, and kitchen staff.
  • Follow all school policies regarding student supervision, confidentiality, and emergency procedures.
  • Follow all USDA, food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
