Seeking Work Study Student for Institute at Mercer University

Who we are: The Association for Core Texts and Courses is an independent academic non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting and supporting the teaching of core texts throughout the world. We have a Liberal Arts Institute on Mercer's campus where we both run the business of the corporation and organize programs and events on Mercer's campus, throughout the United States, and internationally.

Job description: The Institute seeks an Intern to help as an office manager. Responsibilities will include, but are not necessarily limited to: bookkeeping, billing and payroll, organizing files, calendars, and communications, helping to organize events and programs. The Institute is newly relocated to Mercer, and this position is new and evolving - you would have a significant opportunity to define your role and responsibilities going forward.

What we are looking for: basic familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet programs; the rest can be learned on the job. We'd prefer candidates who are willing and able to continue in this role next year. Applicants must have qualified for Federal work study support. Business students or students interested in a career working for non-profits would likely be the best fit for this position.

Position details: 10 hours per week, with flexibility for the schedule. Pay is up to $12/hour, depending on qualifications and experience. You will typically work out of an office in Knight Hall.
