Job description

POSITION TITLE: Campus Ministry Coordinator
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Campus Ministry Coordinator is a dynamic, faith-filled leader who focuses on connecting our students with the faith, both within and beyond the school. The Campus Ministry Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and programming faith formation needs of the student body.
Position Status: Part-Time, Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Catholic in good standing who embraces and transmits the Catholic Church's teachings on matters of faith and morals
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Theology, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or related field
Hold a current Archdiocese of Detroit Catechist Certification, or commitment to achieve this certification as well as ongoing formation.
Experience with youth, young adults and parish ministry or related field
RESPONSIBLE TO:
The Campus Ministry Coordinator reports to the Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Foster the spiritual growth and faith formation of individual students and the broader Bishop Foley Catholic High School community.
Lead the planning, coordination, and administration of all student retreats and faith-formation experiences.
Oversee the care, organization, and maintenance of the school chapel and ensure it remains a welcoming and reverent space for prayer and worship.
Collaborate with School Administration, Faculty, and Staff to further Bishop Foley Catholic High School's mission of developing faith-filled servant leaders.
Oversee the student service-hour program, including tracking student requirements, communicating expectations, and coordinating opportunities for service.
Develop and coordinate meaningful service opportunities for both students and staff that reflect Catholic Social Teaching and the mission of the school.
Coordinate speakers, programs, and educational opportunities related to Catholic Social Teaching, service, faith, and social responsibility.
Participate in school committees and initiatives as needed, including the Alignment Board, Catholic Schools Week planning, and other mission-centered programs and events.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the school on a schedule agreed upon with the Principal, based on an 11-month contract.
Attend and actively participate in all required staff meetings, professional and faith formation opportunities, and staff retreats.
Attend Open Houses and other school events (as needed) to assist with welcoming students and families, and showcasing the Chapel and Faith Life at Bishop Foley Catholic High School.
