Le/la formateur(trice) est responsable de dispenser la formation en classe et pratique (derriere le volant) aux conducteurs et/ou aux employes du site concernant les procedures de securite et la conformite reglementaire. Il/elle assure egalement le coaching et le mentorat des nouveaux conducteurs en fonction des indicateurs cles de securite.

Responsabilites principales

  • Offrir la formation en classe et/ou pratique aux nouveaux conducteurs.

  • Dispenser, au besoin, des formations supplementaires aux employes existants pour ameliorer la performance ou repondre aux exigences reglementaires et organisationnelles.

  • Maintenir la documentation requise pour assurer la conformite aux normes provinciales, aux politiques de l'entreprise et aux exigences legales.

  • Evaluer la performance des nouveaux conducteurs et des employes existants afin de s'assurer que les competences de base sont acquises et conformes aux exigences provinciales et de l'entreprise.

  • Participer aux reunions et activites de formation pour transmettre ou recevoir des informations.

  • Analyser les ecarts de performance et elaborer des plans de formation adaptes.

  • Effectuer d'autres taches liees a la securite (ex. : enquete sur les accidents, conformite des formulaires, animation de reunions de securite).

  • Toutes autres responsabilites requises ou demandees par la direction.

Exigences / Requirements

  • Bilingue (francais et anglais), avec une excellente maitrise des deux langues a l'oral et a l'ecrit.

  • Experience en formation pratique ou en animation de cours theoriques

  • Experience comme conducteur(trice) d'autobus scolaire avec un dossier de conduite impeccable.

  • Detenir un permis de conduire classe 2 valide avec mention F (freins pneumatiques).

  • Avoir un dossier de conduite vierge (aucun accident evitable ni infraction au cours des 3 dernieres annees).

  • Capacite a communiquer efficacement et a motiver les apprenants.

  • Connaissance des normes de securite routiere et des reglements provinciaux.

Job Summary

The trainer is responsible for delivering classroom and behind-the-wheel training to drivers and/or site employees on safety procedures and regulatory compliance. This role also provides coaching and mentoring to new drivers based on key safety performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom and/or practical training to new drivers.

  • Deliver additional training to existing employees as needed to improve performance or meet regulatory and organizational requirements.

  • Maintain required documentation to ensure compliance with provincial standards, company policies, and legal requirements.

  • Evaluate the performance of new drivers and existing employees to ensure basic skills are acquired and meet provincial and company standards.

  • Participate in meetings and training activities to share or receive information.

  • Analyze performance gaps and develop tailored training plans.

  • Perform other safety-related tasks (e.g., accident investigations, form compliance, leading safety meetings).

  • Carry out any other responsibilities required or requested by management.

Requirements

  • Bilingual (French and English), with strong proficiency in both spoken and written communication.

  • Experience in practical training or delivering classroom courses.

  • Experience as a school bus driver with an excellent driving record.

  • Valid Class 2 driver's licence with air brake endorsement (F).

  • Clean driving record (no preventable accidents or infractions in the past 3 years).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to motivate learners.

  • Knowledge of road safety standards and provincial regulations.
