  • We have an immediate job opening with Client: Missouri School for the Blind – State of Missouri
  • Location: Saint Louis, MO
  • Onsite
  • Title:  School Nurse – RN or LPN
Scope of work:
  • Hours: Sunday-Thursday 3:00p-10:45p Night Shift
  • Perform practical nursing work in the care and treatment of MSB students.
  • See all students requesting medical attention, and review all medical complaints, injury reports, and new physicians’ orders daily.
  • Dispense medications according to physician’s directions.
  • Accurately maintain and submit Daily Health Center Log (Appendix), medication logs (in Student Information System) and all assigned documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Detail all student contact including medications, procedures, consultations, etc. in real time (in Student Information System)
  • Inventory medications monthly. Check inventory quarterly to ensure it meets student needs. Order supplies and discard expired supplies as needed.
  • Maintaining a complete and accurate Cumulative Health Record for each student.
  • Establish and maintain an ongoing awareness of any students who have been identified as having special health care needs and report significant findings to supervisor.
  • Maintain First Aid kits and medical bags for bus trips, school outings etc.
  • Complete all required reports and correspondence in a timely, accurate manner.
