TITLE: Access Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Student Accessibility Services
SUPERVISOR: Rachel Graddy
SCHEDULE: Hours vary according to student schedule
General Statement of Duties/Responsibilities:
The access assistant will attend specific classes and assist students with access needs in real-time. This may include sighted assistance: verbally describing worksheets, problems, and forms and assisting with their completion at the direction of the disabled student and/or physical assistance such as completing manual tasks based on the verbal instructions of the student. Whenever possible, the access assistant is responsible for taking comprehensive, typed notes throughout the class period.
