Position Announcement
The UVU Professional Sales Program is seeking a motivated, outgoing student to serve as a Sales Program Ambassador. The Ambassador will help promote the sales major and various sales activities, such as on-campus sales competitions and guest-speaking events, and assist with recruiting and engaging students in the sales program. This position is an excellent opportunity for a student to develop leadership, communication, presentation, coaching, and organizational skills while playing an important role in the growth and success of the Professional Sales Program.
Summary of Responsibilities
The Sales Program Ambassador will assist faculty with student-facing activities and initiatives for the Professional Sales Program. Responsibilities may include:
  • Promoting the Professional Sales major through classroom visits, student events, and one-on-one conversations with prospective students.
  • Helping recruit students for sales competitions and other experiential learning opportunities.
  • Supporting competition teams through practice role-plays, peer coaching, scheduling, coordination, and other preparation activities.
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of on-campus sales competitions, including participant communication, check-in, timing, room preparation, and other event logistics.
  • Following up with students who express interest in the sales major, Sales Club, or competitions and helping connect them with appropriate opportunities and resources.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • Must be a current UVU student
  • Strong interest in professional sales, student leadership, or related activities.
  • Experience with the Professional Sales Program, Sales Club, or sales competitions preferred.
  • Comfortable speaking with individuals and groups of students.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability and willingness to give short presentations to groups of students.
  • Ability to communicate enthusiastically and professionally about the Professional Sales Program and its opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow through reliably on responsibilities.
