Job Title: 
Student Worker - Athletics Graphic Design Student

Job Classification: Marketing, Communications & Creative Service

Work Schedule: 20 hours per week - flexible working hours

Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Spring/Ongoing

Pay Rate: $8.00-$12.00 per hr

Job Description:

The Baylor Athletics Creative team is the in-house creative team supporting all 19 NCAA Division I sports programs and various internal departments. We produce high-impact visual content that engages fans, supports student-athletes, coaches, and sport programs, and elevates the Baylor Athletics brand across digital, social, print platforms.
As a Student Graphic Designer, you will work alongside our full-time creative staff to conceptualize and execute original design projects for Baylor Athletics. This position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced collegiate athletics environment, with opportunities to see your work featured on social media, in-venue displays, apparel, billboards, posters, etc.
Portfolio Required
Applicants must provide a portfolio link or work samples demonstrating design proficiency and creative ability.
Responsibilities
Design graphics for social media, promotional campaigns and products, game day themes and other athletics related content.
Assist with the creation of print, digital, apparel, and environmental design projects.
Collaborate with creative staff, sport programs, and internal departments to develop and execute visual concepts.
Execute projects from concept through final production while maintaining brand standards.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
Support creative initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
Current Baylor University student.
Demonstrates a team-first mentality and willingness to support teammates and creative staff.
Receptive to creative feedback and able to apply direction effectively.
Dependable, responsive, and accountable for assigned projects.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign.
Strong understanding of layout, composition, typography, and visual hierarchy.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Self-motivated and takes initiative.
Demonstrates a willingness to learn and improve.
Ability to comply with University and Athletics policies.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
