Student Employee - Logistical Support Assistant

Position Summary:

Seeking an outgoing student employee that is extremely task oriented and trustworthy. This student would need to demonstrate the ability to balance multiple projects, complete them on time, follow up with their supervisor while keeping a watchful eye on the next task. They will need exceptional people skills to understand details and serve all departments of Ensign College.

Student Employees are eligible to work on campus in a part time capacity according to Ensign College Student Employment Policy. In addition to fulfilling this purpose, each employee continuously strives to bring about the mission of Ensign College, which is to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ.

Hours: 12-19 hours a week during semester and the starting wage for all student employees is $14.00 per hour with the possibility of $.25 rate increase each semester of continued work based on merit.

Specific Summary of Duties:

  • Assist the Director of Logistical Support in areas related but not limited to:

  • Tickets and maintenance requests

  • Commencement/Devotional/Event functions

  • Facility planning and building improvements

  • Meeting room(s)/kitchen organization (campus calendar updates)

  • Outpost ordering and working with 3rd party vendors

  • Tracking progress of long-term projects

  • All other tasks that may be assigned as they come up

Job Qualification:

  • Positive attitude as tasks are completed and anticipated

  • Be where you're supposed to be, doing what you're supposed to be doing

  • Trustworthy with information that has not been announced or is in the vetting process

  • Works well independently, in groups or committees

  • Communicate well with supervisor and others at the appropriate time

  • Excellent skills working in Microsoft Word, Outlook Email, and Excel

  • Willing to solve problems and learn new skills

  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task

  • Flexible schedule (around class times) including Fridays and adaptable with attention to detail

  • Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits (3 per block) and in good academic standing.
