Social Media Intern 

Creative Dining Services is looking for a Social Media Intern to support our corporate Marketing team at our home office in Zeeland, Michigan.

This is a great opportunity for a creative college student who wants hands-on experience developing content for a growing hospitality organization. Working under the direction of the Senior Marketing Specialist, the Social Media Intern will help create and gather content for Creative Dining's corporate social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

This role includes photography, short-form video, social media copywriting, graphic creation, content scheduling, engagement monitoring, and support for broader marketing projects. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while representing Creative Dining's mission and core values professionally.

Internship Details:

  • This is a paid, part-time, temporary internship running from September 2026 through April 2027.
  • The anticipated schedule is approximately 10 hours per week, with specific hours determined with the selected candidate.
  • The schedule may be arranged around the intern's class schedule.
  • The intern will work at least one day per week at Creative Dining's corporate office in Zeeland, Michigan.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Captures photography and short-form video content for use across Creative Dining's corporate social media platforms.
  • Edits photos and video content to support clear, engaging, and professional brand communications.
  • Drafts social media posts for review and approval, using appropriate tone, grammar, and messaging for each platform.
  • Creates graphics and other visual content to support social media campaigns, company initiatives, and marketing priorities.
  • Schedules approved posts across Creative Dining's corporate social media platforms.
  • Monitors social media engagement and assists with reporting basic analytics and performance information.
  • Assists with content planning and helps identify opportunities to highlight Creative Dining's people, programs, clients, and communities.
  • Travels to Creative Dining accounts within driving distance to gather photos, video, interviews, and other content as needed.
  • Supports other marketing projects and department priorities as assigned.
  • Embraces Creative Dining's mission and core values and reflects them appropriately in all communications.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Current enrollment in college at the sophomore level or above.
  • A preferred field of study in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related area.
  • Proficiency with Meta social media tools, including Facebook and Instagram, and familiarity with LinkedIn.
  • Strong photography and photo-editing skills.
  • The ability to create and edit engaging short-form video content.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • The ability to work independently, follow direction, meet deadlines, and respond professionally to feedback.
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Photoshop preferred.
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with an eagerness to learn and contribute.
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving ability, flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to travel to Creative Dining locations within driving distance as needed.
