Gillingham Charter School is hiring an experienced teacher or a person with a behavior support background to serve in the unique position of the Student Coach.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Disciplinary Coordinator/Restorative Practices and Nurtured Heart Coach
  • Student Coaching

Supports all students in their life and learning at school
Maintains Student Discipline Files
  • Case Manager of Gen Ed Students (in need) w/o IEPs/504s

Oversees Habit Formation Plans
  • Uniform Supervisor
  • Attendance and Truancy Overseer
  • Student Handbook Coordinator
  • SAP Coordinator
  • New Student Orientation
  • Senior Privileges

Minimum Requirements:
  • Valid PA educator certificate in the appropriate area issued by PDE is preferred but not required
  • Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI Fingerprint Clearances (Current within the last year)
  • Excellent relational techniques, office skills, and interpersonal skills with adults and children
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to learn new methodologies
  • A love of the outdoors
  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a dynamic team environment
