Quinnipiac Dining, powered by Chartwells Higher Education, is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Marketing Intern to support campus dining marketing initiatives across Quinnipiac University. This role is ideal for a student interested in marketing, communications, social media, event planning, and brand engagement.
The Marketing Intern will help promote dining programs, meal plans, special events, sustainability initiatives, and new menu offerings while enhancing the overall student dining experience. The position offers hands-on experience in content creation, campus engagement, digital marketing, and experiential promotions.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
  • Create engaging social media content for Quinnipiac Dining platforms, including Instagram, and other digital channels.
  • Capture photos and videos of dining locations, featured menu items, campus events, and student experiences.
  • Assist with planning and maintaining a content calendar.
  • Monitor social media trends and suggest creative campaign ideas to increase student engagement.

Event Marketing & Promotions
  • Support the planning and execution of dining events, themed meals, giveaways, and campus activations.
  • Assist with promotional table setups, signage, and student outreach.
  • Help coordinate marketing campaigns focused on meal plans, seasonal promotions, and limited-time offerings.
  • Collaborate with campus partners and student organizations to increase event participation.

Brand & Campus Engagement
  • Serve as a student ambassador for Quinnipiac Dining and Chartwells.
  • Gather student feedback through surveys, tabling events, and informal conversations.
  • Assist in promoting sustainability and wellness initiatives within dining operations.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across print and digital materials.

Administrative & Marketing Support
  • Assist with creating flyers, digital graphics, email content, and promotional materials.
  • Track engagement metrics and assist in reporting campaign performance.
  • Support marketing leadership with special projects and operational needs.

Qualifications
  • Current Quinnipiac University student preferred.
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools preferred.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and campus engagement is a plus.

Preferred Skills
  • Photography and video editing experience.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and engagement strategies.
  • Event planning or campus organization involvement.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
