Job description

Assignment Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessionals  Green Bay, WI for the 2026-2027 school year. These district-wide positions support students with a variety of learning, developmental, behavioral, emotional, and physical disabilities across multiple school locations.

As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work alongside special education teachers and support staff to help students access the curriculum, build independence, and succeed academically and socially. Assignments may vary based on school and student needs and can include classroom support, behavioral assistance, personal care, mobility support, and supervision during school activities.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional
  • Location: Green Bay, WI
  • Schedule: Full-Time
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Contract Length: 39 Weeks
  • Start Date: August 24, 2026
  • Pay Rate: $20.00+/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide academic and instructional support to students individually and in small groups.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Support students with personal care and daily living activities as needed.
  • Assist students with mobility needs and adaptive equipment.
  • Implement accommodations and supports outlined in student educational plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to support student progress.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, transportation, and other school events.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:

  • Minimum of 48 college credit hours from an accredited institution; or
  • Associate's Degree or higher; or
  • Successful completion of a state-approved paraprofessional assessment.

Additional requirements include:

  • Wisconsin Special Education Program Aide License (883) or another valid Wisconsin DPI license upon hire.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with students who have diverse learning and behavioral needs.
