General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate administrative support work performing various front desk duties and child supervision. Working directly under the supervision of the School Age Childcare Coordinator. Before and after school hours available. Applicants that do not have after school activity commitments are encouraged to apply.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Essential Functions
  • Lead activities as directed by the lead teacher or SAC Coordinator.
  • Follow the daily plan for room.
  • Manage arrival & dismissal of students and other desk duties.
  • Room/site supervision, as needed.
  • Follow schedule for students "outside" activities - ball, summer school, swim lessons, etc.
  • Interact with children.
  • Discipline as needed.
  • Keep lead teacher updated regarding student behaviors and needs.
  • Prepare room as needed.
  • Supervise and provide direction for classroom assistants.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
General knowledge of practices, methods, and techniques used with children; ability to maintain confidential files and information; dependable; ability to maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, and co-workers; lead activities as directed by the lead teacher or SAC Coordinator; follow daily plan for the room: manage arrival and dismissal and other desk duties; follow schedule for student's activities outside of SAC - ball, summer school, swim lessons, etc.; interact with children; discipline as needed; keep lead teachers updated regarding student behaviors and needs; prepare room as needed; supervise and provide direction for classroom assistants.
Special Requirements
CPR certification - must be obtained within first month of hire.
First Aid certification - must be obtained within first month of hire.
