Desired Length of Employment: Fall 26/Spring 27
Pay Rate: $9/hr
  • Deliver excellent customer services to clients and visitors by providing information and answering inquiries as needed
  • Assist with various activities and tasks related to events and hospitality services • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Ad Astra experience very welcomed though not required
  • Provide general office assistance and event support
  • Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
  • Perform business operations duties for assigned area of responsibility
  • Ability to prioritize and take initiative
  • Assist with various projects, activities and tasks related to business operations
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Provide technical (a/v) support
  • Maintenance management
  • Answer phones with excellent phone etiquette
  • Act as a guide for guests to room locations or across campus
  • Monitor trash/cleanliness
  • Setup/breakdown meeting spaces
  • Maintain a quality and professional relationship w/ Housekeeping
  • Set (7am-9am) or take down (4pm-6pm) tabling needed for student organizations; Monday to Friday during set times

  • In a student employee capacity, may perform or assist with specialized business or operational functions that contribute to departmental goals and initiatives.

Job Description:
  • Provide mid to advanced level administrative and operational support for day-to-day tasks
  • May serve as initial contact for in-person guests or callers; provide excellent customer service
  • May generate, prepare and analyze reports or perform forecasting
  • May create creative content or maintain department website(s)
  • May assist with special projects and initiatives supporting departmental goals
  • May assist with planning or coordination of events
  • May assist with identifying areas of improvement and recommend solutions
  • May assist with compliance processes
  • May assist with maintaining internal databases and records
  • May assist with developing processes and procedures
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
