Safety Manager- STS-C
Location: Bristow, VA
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Pay Range: $45.00/hr- $55.00/hr
Per diem available if a traveler

Diversified Safety Services is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to join our team and support a project in Bristow, VA. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical role in driving a culture of safety, ensuring compliance, and fostering a proactive approach to workplace health and safety on a large-scale, high-visibility project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion Safety Culture: Prepare and enforce health and safety policies that build a safe, proactive jobsite environment.
  • Lead Safety Programs: Design and implement safety programs, plans, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
  • Monitor & Report: Track safety compliance, document findings, and communicate updates
  • Identify & Solve Hazards: Spot risks early, recommend solutions, and ensure preventive measures are put in place.
  • Drive Engagement: Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions to keep teams engaged and aligned.
  • Stay Present & Involved: Maintain regular on-site presence, participate in project meetings, and provide proactive safety guidance.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that all work follows approved manuals, internal procedures, and contract requirements.
  • Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate logs of inspections, reports, and safety correspondence.
  • Oversee Site Activity: Supervise subcontractors and contractors to ensure work meets EHS requirements.
  • Investigate & Improve: Conduct investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses; follow through on corrective actions.
  • Enforce Standards: Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures at all times.
  • Support the Project: Contribute to additional safety initiatives and requirements as needed.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on construction safety experience.
  • OSHA 30 required
  • BCSP Certification is required (STS-C or CHST)
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA guidelines, regulations, and safety programs.
  • Ability to produce clear reports, develop procedures, and implement effective safety solutions.
  • Excellent hazard recognition, data analysis, and risk assessment skills.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
  • Professional presence on-site and ability to lead teams through incidents or emergencies with composure.
