Schedule: Blocked Friday-Sunday (weekends) Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers are accepted Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics Certifications Required: BLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: In the Main OR, we do NOT perform any Neurosurgery, L&D, Endo, Cardiothoracic to include hearts, whipples, liver ablations, or other complex surgeries. ENT is performed in our Outpatient surgery center. No GYN/Oncology surgeon on staff, 95% of our procedures are outpatient and go home same day. Total joints (Knees, shoulders, hips), Spine (Lumbar fusions PLIFs, ALIFs, Kyphos, Stimulators, Decompressions, ACDFs posterior and anterior), Sport Med (ACLSs, tendons), Podiatry, General/Laparoscopic to include choles, hernia, thyroids, mastectomies with breast reconstruction, lymph node biopsies, Colorectal, Robotics (Urology/General/GYN, Colorectal with DaVinci XI), Vascular to include carotids, fistulas, fem-pops, EVARs, minimal GYN as most procedures performed in our Outpatient Surgery Center, and Cysto (stents TURPs, Urology (Prostate biopsies, Penile implants, Perc Nephrectomies) Ratio / Census: 7 Rooms with average daily census of 20-25 Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR Special Equipment: OSI Spine and Fx table, Allen Spine table, Hana table, Arthrex Scope Tower, Misonix Box Scalpel, Aquamantys, Stryker PI drill, Olympus Laparoscopic Video Equipment, Trident, Savi Scout, Neoprobe, NIMS monitor, Davinci XI, Covidian bovie with Ligasure, Harmonic Scalpel, Conmed Smoke Evac, Neptunes with Smoke Evac, Zeiss Microscope, Leg Splitters, Trumpf table for robotic suite, Scrub Color: Provided by facility RTO: MAX 7 days Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere Floating: Rare Call Requirements: Call is very minimal as we currently have two in-house teams every Sat/Sun 7a-7p and one in-house team every Mon-Sun night 7p-7a. Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: New Year's Eve and Day: Wednesday, December 31 and Thursday, January 1 Memorial Day: Monday, May 26 Independence Day: Friday, July 4 Labor Day: Monday, September 1 Thanksgiving/Black Friday: Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 Christmas Eve and Day: Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. CLINICAL SCREEN - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.
