Job description

Chatsworth Products (CPI) builds the physical infrastructure that powers, protects, and supports critical digital environments worldwide — from enterprise IT rooms to edge deployments and data centers.

The Senior Technical Product Marketing Specialist plays a key role at the intersection of Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing. This position is responsible for supporting successful product launches, governing structured product data within CPI’s Product Information Management (PIM) ecosystem, and developing technical sales enablement resources that translate complex infrastructure solutions into clear customer value.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role designed for someone with direct experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) infrastructure industry. Success in this position requires strong project coordination skills, technical curiosity, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to maintain alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

This role offers opportunities for growth as CPI continues to expand its product portfolio and technical marketing capabilities.

Essential Functions:
Product Launch Execution

  • Coordinate cross-functional product launch activities from planning through release.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to translate technical documentation into market-ready materials.
  • Ensure launch readiness across product data, sales tools, internal communications, and web content.
  • Maintain structured launch workflows and documentation to drive repeatable execution.

Product Information Management (PIM) Governance

  • Serve as Marketing’s lead contributor supporting PIM data governance and product information workflows.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, IT, and Marketing teams to maintain accurate, complete, and structured product data.
  • Support the definition and maintenance of data standards, approval workflows, and governance practices.
  • Identify product data gaps and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
  • Ensure product data supports web publishing, partner syndication, and sales enablement needs.

Technical Sales Enablement & Market Intelligence

  • Develop technical sales tools including battle cards, feature comparisons, solution briefs, and competitive matrices.
  • Conduct market and competitor research within the ICT infrastructure industry.
  • Translate technical product characteristics into clear value messaging aligned to buyer needs.
  • Support development of resources aligned with specific buyer groups, including data center operators, IT teams, facilities personnel, integrators, and contractors.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications to ensure consistent technical positioning across materials.

Cross-Functional Project Coordination

  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and maintain visibility into timelines and deliverables.
  • Align stakeholders across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, IT, and Marketing.
  • Communicate project status clearly and proactively to maintain momentum and alignment.

Additional Functions:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Technology, Marketing, Business, or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 5–8 years' experience in Technical Product Marketing, Product Management support, Technical Marketing, Sales Engineering support, or similar role within:
    • Data center infrastructure
    • Enterprise IT infrastructure
    • Power, cooling, cabinets, enclosures, networking, or related hardware environments
  • Experience supporting physical infrastructure products (not software-only environments).
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Product Management, and technical Sales teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Product Information Management (PIM), ERP, or structured product data systems.
  • Familiarity with ICT infrastructure standards, certifications, and compliance considerations.
  • Experience developing technical sales enablement materials.
  • Exposure to enterprise, edge, hyperscale, or MTDC environments.

Core Competencies:

  • Technically curious and comfortable working with engineering documentation.
  • Process-oriented with strong project management discipline.
  • Detail-driven with strong data accuracy mindset.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical information into clear messaging.
  • Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional communication skills.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Works on a computer majority of the day.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs., move file boxes, etc. as needed.
  • Some travel may be required both by automobile and airplane.

Work Environment:
This position is based in the Greater Austin, Texas area (Georgetown, Round Rock, or Austin) and follows a hybrid model with regular in-office collaboration at CPI’s Round Rock or Georgetown locations.

Why CPI?
Chatsworth Products is a 100% employee-owned company and a recognized leader in ICT infrastructure solutions. Our teams design and deliver the physical infrastructure that supports enterprise, edge, and data center environments worldwide.

At CPI, you’ll work in a collaborative, technically driven environment where Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams work closely together to solve real infrastructure challenges. As an employee-owner, you directly contribute to — and benefit from — the long-term success of the company.
