Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry.
Sony Pictures Television Networks-Latin America operates linear networks, Ad Sales offices, and digital properties across many countries in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. The portfolio includes both wholly owned entities and partnerships.
The Finance Intern will support the Latin America Ad Sales Finance team with billing and collections activities, revenue recognition, cash flow tracking, and financial analysis and reporting. They may also assist with administrative, accounting, and financial support across the team's business lines, including Advertising Sales, TV Distribution, Theatrical, and digital revenue initiatives such as YouTube, social media platforms, and FAST channels.
Responsibilities:
  • Work on clearing of unapplied cash accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of Settlement statements to process payments owed to third party networks for regional collections.
  • Prepare Agency incentive reconciliations to ensure accruals are properly updated on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of Digital revenues and expenses.
  • Withholding tax certificate reconciliations.
  • Assist with the monthly close process by parking journal entries related to cash, balance sheet, and receivables balances.
  • Assist with review of Cash and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Preparing of monthly A/R status reports.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel including conditional formulas.
  • Detailed financial analysis to identify patterns and trends and make recommendations
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and solve problems
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to perform tasks with reasonable independence
  • Detail-oriented, well organized and analytical
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Bilingual, fluency in Spanish is preferred.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $19/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
