Travel Low Voltage Technician

Location: Nationwide Travel Required

Pay: $19-$22/hour + Per Diem

Duration: 3-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

Schedule: Primarily Overnight Shifts

Travel: 100% Travel Required

Job Summary

We are hiring experienced Travel Low Voltage Technicians to support large-scale retail and commercial technology deployments across the United States. This role involves installing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting structured cabling systems, wireless access points, fiber optics, IP cameras, and other low-voltage infrastructure.

This is an ideal opportunity for technicians who enjoy travel and have experience working in fast-paced installation environments.

Responsibilities
  • Install, route, terminate, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
  • Install and configure Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
  • Install, replace, and troubleshoot IP camera systems
  • Pull, dress, label, and organize network cabling
  • Perform RJ45 terminations and cable testing
  • Install network racks, cabinets, switches, and related hardware
  • Support structured cabling and network infrastructure upgrades
  • Install low-voltage power wiring and associated hardware
  • Assist with conduit, junction box, and pathway installations
  • Read and follow installation drawings and floor plans
  • Operate scissor lifts and elevated work platforms safely
  • Maintain quality workmanship and adhere to all safety standards
Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Experience with low-voltage installations
  • Experience installing and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
  • Experience with Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
  • Experience with fiber optic cabling and connectivity
  • Experience with CCTV/IP camera installations
  • Comfortable traveling nationwide 100% of the time
  • Ability to work overnight schedules
  • Ability to operate a scissor lift
Preferred Qualifications
