DESCRIPTION:
A Project Engineer's primary responsibility is to:
  • Provide technical engineering information to a Project Manager to ensure project compliance with plans, codes, specifications and design instructions.
  • Assist in evaluations and solutions of potential field problems, referring them to Project Management. Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the company's values and beliefs in alignment with Fisk's policies so that the construction process is completed to the client's full satisfaction and at the Company's expected levels of safety, quality, and profitability.
  • As a Project Engineer at Fisk Electric, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Assist with development of startup checklist and site logistics plan
  • Assist with the development of quality control plan and continue Customer Interface
  • Assist with and monitor permit processes
  • Prepare closeout log
  • Participate in owner training and document training sessions
  • Compile as-built drawings
  • Administer RFI process

REQUIREMENTS
  • Highschool Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar is preferred.
  • 2 or more years' experience working for an electrical subcontractor
  • Understand Project Specification Sections Division 27 and 28
  • BISCI Knowledge recommended
  • Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications and building materials
  • Ability to perform trigonometric calculations, either manually or with calculator
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
