This full-time position involves providing high-quality physical therapy services primarily in an outpatient office setting, where you will assess, plan, and implement treatment to help clients achieve optimal health and mobility. You will play a crucial role in improving the lives of patients through personalized therapy plans and continuous support.

About the Organization

We strive to revolutionize the homecare landscape through our innovative approaches and concierge-style service models, which emphasize exceptional patient experiences and outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is located in our vibrant outpatient office in Herndon, Virginia, a city known for its rich community resources and access to essential healthcare services. At Lifepoint Therapeutics, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, collaborative environment that fosters professional growth and teamwork. Our office is equipped with state-of-the-art therapy tools and technology, and you will have access to electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new clients, assessing their physical function through diagnostic tests that examine muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
  • Design personalized treatment plans that focus on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function based on the client's needs and goals.
  • Oversee and supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to the treatment plans, providing ongoing guidance and support during therapy sessions.
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapies, exercises, and modality treatments, tailored to each client's specific condition.
  • Evaluate clients' home environments and recommend modifications to facilitate independence and success in their rehabilitation efforts.
  • Administer traction, massage, and other physical treatments while instructing clients on exercises that encourage participation and engagement in their healing process.
  • Prepare accurate clinical documentation for all client interactions, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team case conferences, sharing insights and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies.
  • Respond promptly to any changes in a client's condition by adjusting treatment protocols as needed and consulting with physicians and case managers.
  • Guide clients and their families in the proper use of assistive devices and the overall management of their physical therapy programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and age-related physical challenges. Your expertise will help clients of all ages regain strength, enhance mobility, and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • An active physical therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
  • Exceptional mastery of manual therapy techniques and exercise program development.
  • Strong proficiency in using EMR systems, specifically Web PT, to maintain accurate and efficient patient records.
  • A solid foundation in contemporary physical therapy modalities and practices supported by clinical research.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous clinical experience in an outpatient setting, specifically managing diverse patient caseloads.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team structure, contributing effectively to the total treatment plan.
  • Experience in community resource utilization to support client needs efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an attractive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, employees are provided with competitive benefits, including:

  • Healthcare, dental, and vision insurance options with affordable premiums.
  • Access to a Flexible Spending Account and Dependent Care Account.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution options.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) including company-paid holidays.
  • Company-paid life insurance and affordable short-and-long-term disability insurance.
  • Mobile benefits access and telemedicine services to promote health and convenience.
