Project Manager – Lead Commercial Steel Fabrication and Erection Projects


Job Overview

The Opportunity

You will serve as a vital link between our fabrication shop and field operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of Chicago’s premier steel projects. This role empowers you to drive project precision through technical detailing and proactive coordination in a rapidly growing, union-strong environment.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Execute precise field measurements to ensure fabrication accuracy and eliminate on-site installation delays.
  • Develop and review CAD drawings to bridge the gap between design intent and structural reality.
  • Coordinate daily logistics between the shop and field crews to maintain strict project timelines and budgets.
  • Manage project documentation and schedules to ensure transparency for all stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical and logistical hurdles in real-time to maintain the integrity of the trades.
  • Direct communication between clients and internal teams to uphold high-quality craftsmanship standards.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience managing projects within the structural steel or general construction industry.
  • Technical proficiency in CAD detailing and the ability to interpret complex architectural drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate field measurements for high-stakes fabrication.
  • Experience coordinating diverse project scopes, including union and government contracts.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to various project sites and facilities.
