Structural Project Manager

Senior Structural Project Manager

Based in Schererville, IN we are an industry leader providing structural steel and precast concrete construction solutions for complex commercial and industrial projects.

We're seeking a Senior Structural Project Manager with expertise in structural steel erection, precast concrete construction, and project execution. This role will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout while serving as the key link between engineering, field operations, subcontractors, and clients.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural steel and precast concrete projects from preconstruction planning through project completion
  • Coordinate construction logistics including crane operations, equipment mobilization, foundation requirements, sequencing, and site readiness
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and field teams to optimize constructability and project execution
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract administration, and project reporting
  • Provide leadership to superintendents, foremen, and project teams to ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are achieved
  • Monitor project risks, resolve field issues, maintain compliance with project specifications, and drive successful project outcomes

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or precast concrete construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel erection practices, precast installation methods, AISC standards, and AWS standards
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
  • Experience with project scheduling, cost management, subcontractor coordination, and construction project controls
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Tekla Power Fab, or similar construction management and BIM platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience
