Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural welding on steel components in accordance with engineered drawings and CWB standards
  • Complete SMAW welding processes as required by project scope
  • Interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate work
  • Conduct fit-up, grinding, and preparation for welding activities
  • Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and compliance with specifications and procedures
  • Provide support with rigging and positioning of materials for welding using hoisting equipment
  • Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures, including hot work permits and fire watch requirements
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor's high standards for safety and quality

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Welder ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Apprentice Welder must be registered with a provincial training authority
  • Valid CWB structural welding certification, all positions
  • Previous industrial construction project experience
  • Valid government ID
  • Project online orientations must be completed

Work Conditions:

  • Work schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off or 5 days on / 2 days off
  • Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC
  • Weekly payment of Wages
