Overview

Parkhill is seeking a Structural Engineering Technician to independently or with minimal supervision, assisting the Engineer in application of principles, methods, and techniques of engineering technology by performing the following duties. Performs non-routine and complex assignments involving Computer Aided Design (Cad) planning for projects of varying size and scope. This is a full-time, exempt position paid on a salary basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with14offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Responsibilities
    Prepare Cad layouts for complete drawing packages and assist in selecting and preparing applicable standard details.
  • Assist in developing and preparing non-standard and complex design details.
  • Prepare basic layout of project elements such as structural foundation and framing systems.
  • Use computerized design software and other relevant computerized tools to prepare design assignments.
Qualifications
  • 0-6 years (minimum) of experience in Computer Aided Design for structural engineering projects.
  • Ideally possess a working knowledge of Building projects.
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of team members.
