WSP is seeking a motivated Structural Engineering Student to join our Buildings team. This opportunity offers handson exposure to realworld projects, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the chance to contribute to innovative, sustainable, and technologydriven structural design solutions that shape the built environment.

Your Impact
As part of the WSP Buildings team, you will:
  • Support structural design for new and existing buildings through calculations, technical analysis, and design documentation
  • Contribute to BIMenabled workflows by leveraging Revit and Dynamo to advance design automation and coordination between engineers and BIM modellers
  • Prepare project deliverables including calculations, specifications, technical reports, and field review documentation
  • Perform field reviews to assess construction compliance with structural designs
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, sustainability, building sciences, and project management teams
  • Research emerging construction technologies, materials, and computational design approaches
  • Assist with initiatives focused on lowering embodied carbon and advancing sustainable structural design
  • Help improve internal processes, templates, and project correspondence

The Skills That Set You Apart
You bring:
  • Enrollment in your third or final year of a Civil or Structural Engineering degree with a minimum B average
  • Foundational knowledge of structural engineering principles and the construction industry
  • Exposure to or strong interest in BIM and Revit
  • Previous coop, internship, or summer experience in engineering or construction
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning in a fastpaced, projectdriven environment
  • Interest or experience in programming (Python, C#, VBA, and/or Microsoft Power Automate) - considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Clear, concise communication skills in both written and verbal interactions

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $24.00 - $32.25 per hour
MB & ON: $22.50 - $30.25 per hour
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $21.50 - $30.25 per hour
