Calling all Civil engineering Undergrads!

Collins offers an opportunity for a civil engineering student to gain experience in the transportation industry. The Port Arthur, Texas, office has an opening for a Civil Engineering Intern position for Summer 2026. This position will be a combination of office and time in the field.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs structural inspections and prepares inspection reports.
  • Prepares and/or checks structural calculations.
  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Field work will be required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• Junior or senior working towards a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Previous software experience in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, or Civil 3D is a plus.
• Previous software experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software is a plus.
• A valid driver's license.
