Mericle Construction, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated, Licensed Structural Engineer to join our growing, vertically integrated construction team. This is a dynamic opportunity to play a key role in both new construction and retrofit projects across Northeastern PA.

Mericle Construction, Inc. is the largest, full-service developer of industrial, office, flex, and medical space along Pennsylvania’s I-81 Corridor. Mericle has developed more than 100 buildings in the Scranton/Pittston/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton area. The Mericle team includes licensed architects, land planners, professional engineers, surveyors, licensed electricians, plumbers, carpenters, leasing and marketing professionals, property managers, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural systems and foundations in steel, concrete, and masonry
  • Lead the development of structural construction drawings and specifications
  • Conduct evaluations of existing buildings and document conditions
  • Review shop drawings for accuracy and compliance
  • Perform site investigations, construction inspections, and detailed reporting
  • Collaborate with in-house design and construction teams
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes and industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance to customer-facing team members
  • Take on additional duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • PE License in Structural Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in building-related structural design
  • Proficiency in RISA or similar structural design software
  • Skilled in AutoCAD and Revit
