Job Summary The M echanical Engineer will perform advanced structural and thermal analyses for circuit card assemblies (CCAs) and electronic chassis structures. This role includes vibration, shock, fatigue, and thermal assessments, supporting design teams with independent analysis, model generation, documentation, and design recommendations. The engineer will contribute to product reliability and performance by applying strong analytical skills and engineering exp ertise. Key Responsibilities Pe rform structural analyses including vibration, shock, static, and fatigue assessments Conduct thermal modeling and assessments for CCAs and chassis structures Generate analysis models, document results, and provide design recommendations Support design teams with independent execution of analysis tasks Develop production procedures and product specifications Monitor process performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability Collaborate with vendors to define, develop, and qualify process equipment Required Qualifications B achelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field from an ABET-accredited institution Minimum of 4+ years relevant experience in structural and thermal analysis of mechanical components or electronic hardware Proficiency with NASTRAN for structural analysis Ability to perform vibration, shock, static, and fatigue analyses Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent work skills Ability to clearly document and present technical results Preferred Qualifications Experience with CCAs and electronic chassis structures Familiarity with Icepak for CCA thermal analysis Experience using Simcenter 3D for system-level modeling Exposure to pressure drop or coolant flow analysis Analysis of solder joint reliability and acoustic loading Education: Bachelors Degree
