Structural Engineer

Columbia, SC

$75,000-$120,000 + Full Benefits + Relocation Assistance if needed

Responsibilities:

Report directly to the Structural Engineering Department Director.

Collaborate with team members across disciplines to deliver comprehensive design solutions.

Conduct structural analyses and design calculations using industry-standard software.

Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawing reviews.

Coordinate with contractors and clients to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

Professional (ABET Accredited) Degree in Structural Engineering.

PE registration in SC (or ability to quickly acquire same).

NCEES registration (or ability to secure same).

Minimum 2 years' experience as a registered PE in structural design with a variety of building materials.

Strong understanding of building codes and regulations (ICC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AISI, TMS, FM Global).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office Suite, and structural analysis software (RAM Structural Systems, ENERCALC, or similar).

Experience with renovation, upfit, expansion, and industrial/distribution/logistics projects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
