Your work environment at EXP

In this role you will be a part of the infrastructure group in the Northeast market. We are an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary firm with a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects across North America.  We are currently looking to grow and enhance our transit, rail control systems, structural, roadway, and tunneling practices and are seeking highly motivated and dynamic engineers.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Structural design for all project types
  • Schematic/geometric layout design of new structures
  • Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate
  • Conduct load rating analysis
  • Prepare plan drawings and details, construction specifications and design calculations
  • Conduct on-site inspection, analysis and condition assessment of existing structures
  • Construction phase engineering support including reviews of shop drawings and requests for information
  • Assist project managers with scoping and budgeting for structural work and be responsible for quality assurance of deliverables

What your experience looks like

  • BS in Civil/Structural Engineering and EIT certification required.
  • New York PE preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible relevant experience
  • Knowledge AASHTO and bridge analysis, design and detailing preferred.
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software including SAP-CSI, AASHTOWareBrR, LARSA 4D or similar preferred.
  • Proficient with MicroStation and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment. 

The pay range for this role is $110,000 to $160,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
