As a Professional Engineer for Structures, you will work on challenging assignments, including designing and preparing construction documents for complex structures related to heavy civil type projects.   • Design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projectsย 
  • Prepare designs, structural calculations, cost estimates, and specificationsย 
  • Work in cooperation with a multidisciplinary staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, state DOTs, and developersย 
  • Perform structural analysis using Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD and other Bentley Engineering softwareย 
  • Design and analyze concrete vaults, culverts, storage tanks, and booster station structures in support of municipal projectsย 
  • Design and analyze foundations, abutments, and various types of specialty components in support of federal projectsย 
  • Design and analyze retaining walls and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projectsย 
  • Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are metย 
  • Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineeringย 
  • Structures lead for smaller projects, coordinating staff and design effortsย 
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineeringย 
  • 7 to 10 years of design experienceย 
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one yearย 
  • Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required--<10%ย 
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams a plusย 
  • Design Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plusย 
  • Established relationships with local clients (Department of Transportation) a plusย 
  • Solid understanding of vertical structure projects and multiple types of constructionย
